Welcome to Our Church

One of the main themes of our Church comes from the book of Luke/Acts. The underpinning knowledge that every Christian has access to the power of the Holy Spirit and they can be and do all that God has called them to.

Key Scriptures Luke 24:49 I am going to send you what my father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed from on high; Acts 1:8 But you will recieve power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses....

Ps Tony & Jo Mould and Pastor Colin & Ingrid Ryan both  have had a desire to start a Church in Toowoomba for many years, well, in 2010 that became a reality as Empower Church began its ministry in February of that year. Empower is a Pentecostal Church, and the pastors hold minister’s credentials with the Australian Christian Churches. One of the main themes of the Church is that every believer is empowered by the Holy Spirit to do God’s work on earth and not just a select few clergy or Christian superstars, in other words everyone’s contribution is vital in the Kingdom of God. Another characteristic of the Church is its small group ministry called “242” which is based on Acts 2:42, these groups are dedicated to  communion, fellowship, prayer and New Testament teaching. We would like to invite you to come to one of our Sunday worship experiences or 242’s to experience this wonderful Christian community.
